My Server
I got my first laptop when I was like 14 years old. It was a Dell Inspiron 15. It had Ubuntu on it, and it was cheaper compared to a Windows laptop, so I decided to get it. The first advice the seller gave me was to install Windows.

Did I install Windows? Of course not! So I became a Linux user. Well, at that time Ubuntu was mature enough for personal use. It had all the apps. The only downside was that I couldn’t play games. Anyway, there were some instances where I had to fix software instead of doing the work I was supposed to do, but I loved Ubuntu.
This was the computer that brought me into the world of computers. I learnt a lot, and I actually used this laptop for quite a long time. I remember when virtual backgrounds came to Zoom, but they weren’t supported on Ubuntu. So there was software people had written for it. Well, it was so under-optimized that the main task of a Zoom meeting was getting the VB to work. Most of the time the CPU would go to 100%, but I always wanted to use it :D.
And this laptop is still running, now on Ubuntu Server, and it’s the server you are using right now. I have used it for many things, and now it’s a home server. But I need to buy a UPS for the setup because the battery is long dead.

I know the setup is so messy.
